90's Cartoons Available On DVD Part 2/5

Moving on with Part 2 of available cartoons from the 90’s to buy on DVD! This time, I’ll be mentioning every Cartoon Network series that’s available to buy. Surprisingly, only 11 TV animated series were produced in the 90’s by Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, not a lot of their shows are completely released here in the States. Anyway, on with the post!

2 Stupid Dogs had a total of 2 seasons and 26 episodes. In July 2018, Warner announced that they would release the first season on DVD in August of 2018 along with the Secret Squirrel segments. The episodes will be released in air date order.

Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999-2002)

As of June 2018, Warner Brothers has put up a preorder listing of Courage the Cowardly Dog in a complete series set with 52 episodes. However, reviewers/fans of the series are saying that the pilot episode nor the special will be included in this set. Hopefully WB will decide to release the special and the pilot together in a separate DVD release so fans are able to own the entire series. As of right now though, this set as well as the original season sets are all that we have available to watch on DVD.

Cow and Chicken (1997-1999)

Cow and Chicken - Season 1 - 2-DVD Set ( Cow and Chicken - Season One )

Cow and Chicken ran for a total of 4 seasons with 52 episodes. As of 2018, there is still no US DVD release of any kind. However, a region 4 Australian release is available to buy with only the first 13 episodes.

Dexter's Laboratory (1996-2003)

Dexter's Laboratory: Season 1 (Cartoon Network Hall of Fame)

Dexter's Laboratory aired 2 pilot episodes, a movie, and 78 episodes in a span of 4 seasons. As of 2018, Season one is still the only season that ever made it to DVD in the United States. However, Australia released a Region 4 DVD st of the complete series in 2017.

Ed Edd n Eddy (1999-2009)

Ed, Edd 'N Eddy: Season 1Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy: Season 2

Ed Edd n Eddy aired a total of 70 episodes, 4 specials, and a TV film in a span of 5 seasons. The Christmas Special can be found here. The first two seasons of Ed Edd n Eddy were released by Warner Home Video in 2006 & 2007. All 5 seasons of the series are available to download on iTunes Store. Unfortunately, the first seasons appears to be out of print. The cheapest option to own this series would probably be to either buy the DVD used or buy it on iTunes.

Johnny Bravo (1997-2004)

Johnny Bravo: Season 1 (Cartoon Network Hall of Fame)

Johnny Bravo aired 65 episodes, a TV film, 2 specials, and 3 pilot episodes in a span of 4 seasons. Unfortunately, only one season made it to DVD in the United States.

Power Puff Girls (1998-2005)

The Powerpuff Girls 10th Anniversary Collection - The Complete Series (Full Frame)

The Power Puff Girls ran for a total of 78 episodes, 3 specials, and a movie in a span of 6 seasons. In 2009, Warner Brothers brought us the complete series set. A complete series set is also available in region 4.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1994-2008)

Space Ghost Coast to Coast had 11 seasons and 108 episodes. Unfortunately, only 3 volumes of this series ever made it to DVD and it appears to be cut. Some of the songs appeared to have been removed from this release.

Cartoon Network Cartoons That Still Need a Complete Series DVD Release

Cartoon Planet (1997-1998)
Cow and Chicken (1997-1999)
Ed Edd n Eddy (1999-2009)
I Am Weasel (1997-2000)
Johnny Bravo (1997-2004)
Mike Lu & Og (1999-2001)
The Moxy Show (1993-2000)
Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1994-2008)
What a Cartoon! (1995-2002)

And that's all for Part 2 of this series. I really wish Cartoon Network would get it together and release these shows from the late 90's. It would be great to watch Cartoon Planet, What a Cartoon/Cartoon Cartoon and the complete series of Space Ghost. I'd also like to see a complete US release of Dexter's Laboratory on DVD. Another favorite of mine. Anyway, I'm thinking at the end of this series of posts, I will post a photo of my complete collection of 90's cartoons that I own on DVD.  So far, I'm really enjoying writing and sharing this kind of information. I hope you are too.
