Otaku Related Goals for the New Year 2025

 1. Complete More Anime on my Backlog.

This one is on my New Years Resolution list every year. Though, I feel like there’s never enough time or days in the year to do this one. I just do what I can. I have at least 400 anime on my backlog as of today. @_@;

2. Complete more video games on my video game backlog/Finish what I start

Just like with anime, it’s very easy to start one but it’s also very easy to get distracted and start another one. I do this too many times with both. In 2025, I’m gonna make it my goal to start and finish one before I start another one.

3. Learn more JLPT N4 level/Road to completing JLPT N4.

I have pretty much mastered N5. I need to set more time into N4. My Japanese language level has improved tremendously. I can read most Ciao manga though I still need a translator for some vocabulary. Shoujo manga from Ciao manga is I would say about N4~N3 level. My goal is to complete learning all of JLPT N4 this year. My goal would be to be able to read Ribon and Nakayoshi comics as well.

4. Continue Supporting Physical Copies and Local Stores

Unfortunately, physical media is dying thanks to streaming services. The gripe that I have with streaming is you don’t actually own anything on their platforms. It’s just for renting purposes only. The only way to actually own it is to record it as a digital file on your computer or actually buy the physical release. Personally, I prefer to buy the physical release as it does help support the creator(s). I also want to buy from local stores outside of the internet. Supporting them is just as important in this day and age of amazon and eBay. I refuse to let online stores take over physical stores! I encourage you all to follow this movement as well! Let us otaku continue to sustain the industry! 

5. Lastly, Continue to Improve My Drawing Skills

I think this will be an easy one! I draw in Procreate now on my iPad 12 and my art has gotten so much better. I want to learn more about the program as well. 

And that's just about all that I wanna do for my otaku related goals for the new year. The new year is approaching quickly! Gonna make the most of the final day tomorrow. Hope you all have an amazing New Year's Eve/New Years!
